On Friday afternoon, Lok Bahadur Chhetri, spokesperson of Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said, “It is normal to offer foreign aid in this terrible natural disaster. But for now there is no need for foreign aid.” But then there was a lot of pressure from the international community. Because citizens of many countries around the world can go missing. Among which the list of Indians is huge. Under pressure, Kathmandu finally turned to foreign aid.

A senior government official said, “There was a lot of pressure on us from the international community. At least they want to send search and rescue teams. Because their citizens are missing. We are giving that clearance for certain places.” Later, Nepal's Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal said, they have never rejected the offer of foreign aid. However, the Nepalese army will prepare all rescue strategies in this case. Because they are experienced about the environment. Besides, Nepal government has requested India and China for help in construction of 42 Bailey Bridges.
