During the court proceedings on Friday, the accused, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam, indicated his willingness to plead guilty to the charges leveled against him. His defense counsel, advocate Vipul Dushing, formally submitted before the court that the accused wishes to confess and has appealed for judicial leniency. Following the submission, the presiding judge directed the prosecution to file its official reply on the matter and subsequently adjourned the hearing to September 11. Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery for his injuries.
