New Delhi: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has tested positive for swine flu (H1N1) and has postponed his upcoming public appearance in Bengaluru. The actor shared a health update with fans, saying that he is “really unwell” and will not be able to attend the scheduled event.
The actor reportedly tested positive on August 28 after experiencing health issues following recent work-related travel.
Emraan Hashmi Cancels Bengaluru Event Due To Illness
Taking to Instagram, Emraan Hashmi informed fans that his Bengaluru meet-up had been postponed due to his health condition.
In his Instagram Story, the actor wrote, “Hey Bangalore, I'm really unwell and unfortunately won't be able to make it to the Bangalore show. But picture hasn't been eaten, bas postponed hua!”
He added that the event has been rescheduled for September 12 and existing tickets will remain valid for the new date.
Actor Diagnosed After Recent Travel
According to reports, Emraan Hashmi had been traveling frequently for professional commitments, including shooting schedules. The actor was also recently in Ranchi before falling ill.
His diagnosis comes amid continued promotional activities around his latest release Awarapan 2, which has kept him in the spotlight.
Awarapan 2 Crosses ₹200 Crore Worldwide
On the professional front, Emraan Hashmi recently featured in the romantic action drama Awarapan 2, alongside Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi.
The film performed strongly at the box office and has reportedly crossed the ₹200 crore mark globally. The movie opened with impressive collections and continued its momentum in theatres.

After Awarapan 2, Emraan Hashmi will next be seen in Gun Master G9 alongside Genelia D'Souza. Directed by Aditya Datt, the action-romantic drama is scheduled for release on November 27, 2026. The actor's fans are now hoping for his quick recovery as he takes time off from public appearances.
