Mathura: Surir Police has exposed the case of taking Rs 1.15 lakh from the family of a young man in the name of arranging a marriage and allegedly making the bride abscond with her associates after the marriage. Taking action, the police arrested three accused including the alleged robber bride. Cash worth Rs 45,100 and three mobile phones have been recovered from the possession of the accused.

According to the police, Chandrabhan, resident of Nagla Jaisingh, had lodged a complaint at Surir police station. It was alleged in the complaint that Rs 1 lakh 15 thousand was taken from him in the name of arranging the marriage of his son. After this he was taken to Panethi Devi temple in Aligarh, where his son was married to a young woman. After marriage, the girl was sent to her village along with the groom. It is alleged that after reaching the village, the girl absconded with her alleged associates Irfan and Sundar. After this the victim complained about the matter to Surir police.
Police action and arrest
After receiving the complaint, the police registered a case and started investigating the matter. Police took action in search of the accused and arrested all three from under a tree near the ruined Khayra Kothi in Khayra Chowki area. The arrested accused have been identified as Sundar son of Durga, resident of Agrayala, police station Shergarh, age around 48 years, Irfan son of Iqbal resident of Deeng Gate Nai Basti, police station Govind Nagar, age around 28 years and Kajal alias Rubina.
Details of recovery
According to the police, cash worth Rs 15,500 and Realme mobile phone have been recovered from the possession of accused Sundar, Rs 22,100 and Realme mobile from the possession of Irfan and Rs 7,500 and Samsung mobile phone from the possession of Kajal alias Rubina. The police arrested the three accused and presented them before the court, from where they were sent to jail.
CO's statement
CO Mont Amarnath Yadav said that on the basis of the complaint, the police took action by registering a case and arrested three accused. Further legal action is being taken in the case on the basis of recovery. However, the allegations made in the case will be confirmed on the basis of evidence during the judicial process.
