He said that the use of objectionable language against a community which has suffered pain and oppression for a long time cannot be accepted. Ram Kadam demanded a public apology from the person who made the alleged comment.

While talking about respecting the talent of artists, Ram Kadam said that it is not right to hurt anyone's beliefs or sentiments in the name of entertainment.

He alleged that some people deliberately target communities to gain publicity. He raised the question why there was a need to make fun of Kashmiri Pandits and Biharis.

The controversy is related to the fifth episode of 'India's Got Latent 2' which aired on August 28. Comedian Sharon Verma was also a part of the panel in this episode, who is said to be from Bihar.

During roasting, Samay Raina made comments related to Bihar regarding Sharon. In response, Sharon commented on displacement, making reference to his time as a Kashmiri Pandit.

The debate on this has intensified after the clip of the conversation between the two went viral on social media.
