A new controversy has arisen in the politics of Bihar on the issue of reservation. Union Minister Chirag Paswan has demanded the resignation of his own colleague and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. Not only this, Chirag has also asked Manjhi's son and Bihar government minister Santosh Kumar Suman to step down. There has been an ongoing debate between the two leaders regarding the creamy layer in reservation for some time.
Chirag Paswan said that if Jitan Ram Manjhi is talking about implementing the creamy layer system in reservation, then he should first resign from his post. He also demanded the resignation of Santosh Kumar Suman. After this statement of Chirag, differences within NDA on the issue of reservation have come to the fore.

What did Chirag Paswan say?
Chirag Paswan said, 'If the constitutional basis of reservation has to be changed, then change the Constitution itself. Everyone should come to the Lok Sabha and make changes in the Constitution. He made it clear that the basis of reservation is social, especially the issue of untouchability in the society. He said that he is not talking about reservation for the so-called upper class, but about the reservation given to people belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. When there is talk of implementing creamy layer in the reservation of these classes, he says that if anyone thinks that there should be a creamy layer, then first they themselves should stop taking the benefits of reservation.
Chirag Paswan's statement on Jitan Ram Manjhi
On Jitan Ram Manjhi's statement, Chirag Paswan said that if he feels that measures like creamy layer should be implemented, then shouldn't he resign first? He said that Manjhi himself will also come under the purview of this creamy layer. Therefore, he should resign and his son, who is present here, should also resign.

Rhetoric increased after Jantar Mantar protest
After the protest at Jantar Mantar regarding reservation, differences between Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi have increased continuously. Both the leaders have expressed their views regarding reservation and creamy layer on different occasions. On Saturday morning, Manjhi's son and Bihar government minister Santosh Kumar Suman targeted Chirag Paswan without taking his name. After this, Chirag retaliated by directly taking the names of Jitan Ram Manjhi and Santosh Kumar Suman and demanded the resignation of both of them.
