Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reaching Tashkent on a two-day state visit to Uzbekistan from August 29. Just before this journey, he has shared a very special video on the social media platform 'X'. In this video, local students of Uzbekistan are seen saying in Hindi with great eagerness and warmth, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, welcome to the land of Tashkent.”
This cultural connection of Uzbek youth and love for Indian culture is being greatly appreciated on social media. In the video, many students are expressing their wait for the arrival of PM Modi, highlighting the historical and bilateral relations between India and Uzbekistan.
Bilateral talks and visits to important sites
This is Prime Minister Modi's fourth visit to Uzbekistan (PM Modi Tashkent Visit) on the official invitation of Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. There will be high level delegation talks between the two leaders during the visit. The main objective of this dialogue is to take strategic partnership to new heights in the areas of trade, investment, defense cooperation, digital connectivity, energy and education. The two heads of state will also discuss the common development goals of 'Developed India' and 'Uzbekistan-2030'.
During his stay, PM Modi will visit the memorial of former Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri in Tashkent and pay tribute to him. Apart from this, there is also a plan to visit the Mahatma Gandhi Center established at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
SCO Summit and World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan
After completing the tour of Uzbekistan, Prime Minister Modi will leave for Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. At the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadir Zhaparov, he will participate in the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO Summit) to be held from August 31 to September 1. It is noteworthy that this summit is being held on the historic occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of SCO.
India, a full member of SCO since 2017, will highlight its priorities related to regional security, connectivity network and trade opportunities on this platform. On the sidelines of the summit, PM Modi will also hold bilateral meetings with global leaders. Along with this, he will also participate in the grand opening ceremony of the '6th World Nomad Games', a symbol of Central Asian culture.
