The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 began in Dubai on August 28, with eight teams competing for the continental T20 title at the Dubai International Stadium. The 10th edition of the tournament will run until September 13, with 15 matches scheduled across the group stage, semifinals and final.
Defending champion Sri Lanka will look to retain the trophy after beating India by eight wickets in the 2024 final to win its maiden Women’s Asia Cup title. India, the most successful team in the tournament’s history, will attempt to reclaim the trophy in the UAE.
India is in Group A alongside Pakistan, Thailand and Hong Kong, China, while Group B features Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
India will begin its campaign against Thailand on August 30 before facing Hong Kong, China, on September 3. The marquee Group A clash against Pakistan is scheduled for September 5, giving the tournament an early blockbuster fixture. India and Pakistan last met in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, adding another layer to their latest continental meeting.
All matches will begin at 8:00 PM IST, equivalent to 6:30 PM local time in Dubai. The group stage will conclude on September 8, followed by the first semifinal on September 10 and the second semifinal on September 11. The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 final will be played on September 13.
