Pukhraj Gill shines in Jakarta, just one step away from Asian Tour card; Made place in top-10

Jakarta: Indian golfer Pukhraj Singh Gill finished tied 19th at the Ciputra Golfpreneur tournament of the Asian Development Tour (ADT). He has taken a big step towards next year's Asian Tour card. After the tournament, Gill moved up to ninth place in the ADT Order of Merit.

Now there is only one tournament left in the season and the players finishing in the top 10 positions in the Order of Merit will get cards for the 2027 Asian Tour. In such a situation, Gill has a great chance to retain his place in the top 10 and reach the biggest stage of Asian golf.

Played a brilliant inning of 69 in the fourth round.

Gill shot 69 in the fourth and final round of the tournament on Sunday. He finished the tournament with a total score of 15 under par, playing cards of 70, 66, 68 and 69 in all four rounds.

This performance is also important for IGPL Tour Order of Merit winner Gill as his focus will now be on saving his top-10 position in the overall ADT table.

Karandeep Kochhar had obtained the card last year

For Gill, the example of reaching the Asian Tour through this route is Indian golfer Karandeep Kochhar. Last year, Kochhar, another IGPL player, had earned his Asian Tour card through the same process and is currently playing on the Asian Tour.

In such a situation, Gill's performance has raised the expectations of Indian golf fans.

Khalin Joshi joint 10th

India's Khalin Joshi performed better than Gill and finished joint 10th in the tournament. He scored 66, 68, 69 and 67 in all four rounds.

Whereas Aman Raj stood joint 37th with scores of 67, 69, 70 and 73. Karthik Singh finished joint 32nd with scores of 72, 70, 66 and 69.

N. Arjun Prasad and Sarthak Chibber were not successful in making the cut.

Now look at the last tournament

Now the last tournament of the season will be very important for Gill. The Indian golfer, currently ranked ninth in the ADT Order of Merit, faces the challenge of maintaining his position.

If he remains in the top 10, he will get the 2027 Asian Tour card. In such a situation, the joint 19th place performance in Jakarta can prove to be an important milestone towards fulfilling his dream of Asian Tour.
