Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to dispose of the cases pending for years in the revenue courts in a time bound manner. He has said that unnecessary delay cannot be accepted in matters related to land, property and rights of common citizens. The trend of 'date after date' will have to be changed at any cost. The Chief Minister directed the officials that all the revenue cases pending for more than 5 years, from the Naib Tehsildar Court to the Revenue Council courts, should be identified on priority and disposed of with planned efforts. He especially asked for disposal of undisputed inheritance cases under Section 33 in mission mode.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was reviewing issues related to public interest through video conferencing with senior government level officials and police and administration officials deployed in the field late Saturday evening. During this, he gave instructions to ensure quick and satisfactory disposal of public complaints received in Janata Darshan and IGRS. He said that redressal of complaints should not be limited to mere paperwork, but the actual problem of the complainant should be resolved. The Chief Minister directed that before resolving any complaint, the relevant facts and records should be duly investigated and it should be ensured that the report is received from the required level.
Case closed based on report
The review revealed such cases where the case was resolved on the basis of other information instead of the original complaint or the case was closed without receiving the necessary report. He gave instructions to re-review the cases with dissatisfied feedback and obtain factual information. The Chief Minister said that in cases where the disposal is not satisfactory or the case has been closed on the basis of wrong information, the Chief Minister's Office should send them to the concerned District Magistrate or Police Captain and seek clarification within 05 days. In every case, a solution that satisfies the complainant should be ensured. He said that the priority of the government is not to reduce the number of complaints, but to provide real and permanent solution to the problems of the common people.
District wise status of disposal presented
In the meeting, on behalf of the Revenue Council, the district wise status of disposal of cases related to transfer, demarcation, measurement, share determination, inheritance, distribution and land use was presented from the court of Naib Tehsildar to the Sub-Collector, District Magistrate, Divisional Commissioner and Revenue Council level. Information about the status of top 05 districts in terms of cases pending for more than 05 years and the top 10 longest pending cases in the state was also given to the Chief Minister.
