1. E-KYC mandatory for LPG customers

The deadline for Aadhaar based biometric e-KYC for customers having domestic LPG connections has been extended to August 31. In such a situation, customers who have not completed the process within the stipulated time may face problems in domestic LPG services or related benefits.

2. Fees may be imposed for late filing of ITR

Taxpayers who miss the deadline for filing income tax returns may have to pay additional fees. The facility to file late returns may be available, but if the tax amount is outstanding, interest may also be charged on it.

3. Buffalo milk will be costlier in Mumbai

The price of fresh buffalo milk is going to increase in Mumbai from September. The wholesale price of milk received from dairy farms has been increased from Rs 93 to Rs 102 per liter. The new rate is said to remain in effect till February 28.

4. New rule for travelers going abroad

From September 1, the old system of stamping boarding passes for passengers traveling internationally may be abolished. Instead, the use of electronic boarding passes will be encouraged, which can help make the immigration process faster and easier.

5. Prices of LPG and aviation fuel will be reviewed

The prices of LPG cylinders and jet fuel are reviewed at the beginning of every month. There will be a possibility of change in prices in September also. However, the decision of actual increase or reduction will become clear only after the announcement by the respective companies.
