New Delhi, 30 August 2026: Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya participated in the 88th edition of 'Fit India Sundays on Cycle' held in New Delhi today.
This event organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium was a special edition of 'National Sports Day' organized in collaboration with BRICS. Dr. talking to journalists. Mandaviya noted that cycling has become popular among citizens. Emphasizing the importance of cycling, he described it as an excellent form of exercise.
It is very important for a pollution-free environment and works as an effective solution to the traffic problem. Dr. Mandaviya urged the youth to devote at least one hour every day to sports and physical activities to stay fit and healthy.
Meanwhile, Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir had said that the 'Fit India' initiative will take the country forward towards becoming a healthier, stronger and self-reliant nation. He also called upon the youth to participate in this campaign.
