Delhi. Food delivery platform Zomato has announced a complete ban on the sale of dishes containing analog dairy by restaurants listed on its platform. The company announced a zero-tolerance policy for analog cuisine in a press release issued on Monday, saying it would reserve the right to remove any restaurant from the platform that violates the rules. It said recipes reported by restaurant partners as containing analog dairy have been “removed from the platform with immediate effect”.
What are analog dairy dishes?
The alternative to dairy cheese is analog cheese. Instead of milk fat, vegetable fat, starch, protein, emulsifier or other permitted ingredients are used in it. Its taste and shape look the same, hence it is important to read the label of the product while buying it.
How different from the original product
If we talk about cheese, it is made by curdling milk and it contains milk fat and protein. Whereas the shape and taste of an analog product depends on the material from which it is made. It is impossible for every product to use the same health supplement, that is why before purchasing it, you must check the ingredient list, nutrition table and information related to food safety.
