Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has once again shown his sensitivity and public concern. Direct communication with the general public and understanding the plight of a small businessman in Lohiahead area of Khatima has brought a new ray in the life of an innocent child. The Chief Minister has assured full help for the improvement in the health and proper treatment of Dev, the eight-year-old son of local shopkeeper Ravi Sharma. The government itself will bear all the expenses incurred in the treatment of the child.
Actually, recently Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was on a tour in Lohiahead. Meanwhile, he reached the shop of local shopkeeper Ravi Sharma and tasted Tikki there. Amidst this general meeting, father Ravi Sharma very emotionally mentioned the serious illness of his eight-year-old son Dev to the Chief Minister. He told that his son has been suffering from serious health problems since birth. His hands and legs cannot function properly. The family made efforts at many places for the child's recovery and also got long treatment at Indresh Hospital in Dehradun, but due to financial and medical limitations, complete relief could not be achieved.
The administration immediately came into action on the instructions of CM
Hearing the pain of the father and the condition of the child, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami immediately gave full assurance about the medical arrangements of the child. The Chief Minister gave clear instructions to the higher officials that every necessary arrangement from examination to treatment of the child should be done on priority basis. As soon as the Chief Minister's order was received, the district administration and health department team immediately came into action. Late Monday evening, the convoy of top officials directly reached Ravi Sharma's house in Lohiahead.
The team that reached Ravi Sharma's residence included District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, Chief Development Officer Divesh Shashani, Sub-District Magistrate Tushar Saini and Chief Medical Officer Dr. SK Goswami. Along with this, senior orthopedic specialist Dr. HS Airi and a team of other doctors were also present. The doctors conducted a thorough health checkup of eight-year-old Dev on the spot and after looking at his old medical file, took complete information about his treatment so far.
Preparation for MRI examination and better treatment
The doctors carefully studied the child's physical condition and old medical reports. Ortho specialist and Chief Medical Officer said that to understand the exact condition of the disease and decide the correct further treatment method, it is necessary to first undergo MRI examination of the child. Only after this investigation report comes out, the complete further treatment plan will be prepared under the supervision of specialist doctors.
The District Magistrate gave strict instructions to the health department officials present on the spot that the MRI examination of the child should be done immediately without any delay. Along with this, the District Magistrate consoled the family and said that the administration will provide government vehicles and support staff to safely take the child and his parents to the district hospital. The administration is making every effort to ensure that the child gets modern and better treatment without any hassle.

Administrative officials made it clear that there will be no negligence in treatment and whatever medical resources are required will be made available on time. With this quick and humanitarian initiative of the government, the hopes of the victim's family have been revived.
