New Delhi. A major political upheaval was seen in the country's capital Delhi on Wednesday. AIMIM national spokesperson Asim Waqar has left AIMIM and joined Congress. He took membership of the party in the presence of senior leaders Rajendra Pal Gautam, Imran Pratapgarhi and UP Congress President Ajay Rai at the Congress headquarters in Delhi.

Soon after joining Congress, Asim Waqar made many big and sensational revelations while attacking AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. He alleged that AIMIM does not fight any battle with Bharatiya Janata Party on the ground and Asaduddin Owaisi is internally linked to BJP. Not only this, he made a big claim saying that BJP is getting the Babri Masjid constructed in Bengal.

Waqar further said in his statement that at present in the country only Rahul Gandhi is fighting strongly against the policies of BJP. He clarified that he has joined Congress with the resolve to form a secular government in the country and oust BJP from power. People who love the country want to oust the anti-national BJP government from power, so that a secular and public interest government can be formed in the country. After being in AIMIM, I felt that we talk about fighting BJP and its ideology, but on the ground we are fighting those who are against BJP. Therefore, I decided that if we are true patriots and honestly want to remove BJP from power, then we will have to come together with Congress which is fighting BJP strongly.
