In a major blow to All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, party leader Asim Waqar joined the Congress in New Delhi on Wednesday. After joining Congress, Waqar advised Owaisi that he should try to defeat BJP and should not defeat the one who is defeating BJP. Talking to IANS, Asim Waqar said that most of the population of the country is standing with Rahul Gandhi.
When Asim Waqar, who joined Congress, was asked a question by the Samajwadi Party about the alleged injustice towards Azam Khan, he said to do research on it. Do research on Azam Khan Sahab. There are many things. Azam Khan will not be discussed in just one line. Do research, you will find a lot.
On the issue of reservation, Asim Waqar said that every caste and religion which is eligible for it should get reservation. Those who are not able to survive without reservation should get reservation. If I am not able to eat, am dying of hunger, my children are not able to study, I do not have a house, I do not have clothes and shoes, then I expect that I should get reservation.
Asim Waqar said that Muslims have faith in those people who have the power to challenge BJP and defeat it. I think if anyone in the whole of India wants to defeat BJP the most, it is the Muslims. You should also accept this. I am also a Muslim, it is my nature that I want to defeat BJP. I am with the one who looks strong.
Describing Rahul Gandhi as the future Prime Minister, Asim Waqar said that he has known me for a long time. I have been saying this for the last five years that the future Prime Minister of the country is Rahul Gandhi. I considered Rahul Gandhi as the future Prime Minister of the country even when I was in the previous party. I want the country to get a good Prime Minister and that is Rahul Gandhi.
On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Rai, regarding filing a defamation case against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, said that false allegations and lies have been made against him. I have said that if there is any proof, then show it. The Chief Minister of UP is lying wearing saffron clothes. I have challenged in the court. Give evidence and apologize to the countrymen.
Ajay Rai also raised questions on the process of appointment of CEO of Ram Temple. He alleged that the CEO has been appointed to legalize the alleged theft of offerings. There is no need of a CEO, rather there should be a religious leader. Appointments should be made there by Shankaracharyas and Saint-Mahatmas, so that proper tradition and transparency is maintained in the religious system.

Senior Congress leader Rajendra Pal Gautam said that talks will start soon regarding seat sharing with Samajwadi Party in the assembly elections. At present the work of creating the party’s organization is going on. After completing this, talks will be started regarding seat distribution.
