New Delhi. An Indigo Airlines plane collided with a pole at Srinagar Airport due to which its front part was damaged. The incident happened when the plane was going for parking after landing. It is a matter of relief that all the passengers on board the plane are completely safe. Indigo flight 6E 225 had reached Srinagar from Navi Mumbai. After landing at Srinagar Airport, flight 6E 225 (VT-NOG) was being parked at bay number 06 when the front part collided with the VDGS pole. This incident will be investigated by the concerned authorities.

Only after the investigation is completed will the reason as to how the plane came into contact with the pole be known. The passengers were deboarded from the plane after the incident. Although the incident had no impact on airport operations, all activities continued smoothly. A day before this incident, the pilot of Indigo flight 6E 1302, which had flown from Qatar's capital Doha to Bangalore, suddenly fell ill. After this, on the instructions of Air Traffic Control (ATC), the plane was taken towards Muscat and landed there. As soon as the plane landed, the pilot was immediately provided medical care.
Another plane and crew were arranged to take the passengers on that plane to Bengaluru. According to Indigo Airlines, it was necessary to divert the plane to Muscat in view of the safety of the pilot and the passengers on board. Recently, after an engine failure, an Indigo flight going from Goa to Delhi had to return to Goa airport and make an emergency landing. Emergency was declared at the airport, there were 229 passengers on board that plane.
