CJP co-convenor Ranka outside Sansad Marg police station said, “During our protest at Jantar Mantar, Sanjay ji, father of a supporter, was attacked and suffered head injuries. Saurav and our entire team repeatedly demanded Delhi Police to arrest the accused and book them with attempt to murder, but no action was taken. Today, people involved in this incident are openly admitting that they attacked Sanjay ji and tried to kill him.” Despite this, Delhi Police has not taken any action against him due to pressure from BJP workers. Our entire team has been standing with Sanjay ji since the beginning. We demand that Delhi Police immediately arrest those who have declared themselves involved in this and file all applicable serious charges against him.

Earlier Saurav Das said, “There is a minor girl who has been associated with our protest since day one. Her father, Sanjay ji, also comes with her. When we were sitting on the dharna peacefully, some members of a criminal gang entered our protest and indulged in violence. After the FIR was registered, we continued to put pressure on the police and said that this is a case of attempt to murder, hence the relevant section should be added. We also demanded implementation of the SC/ST Act because they belong to the Dalit family. The caste aspect is also involved in this matter, but when we put pressure on the police, they asked us to bring orders.

Let us tell you that in a video viral on social media, a young man named Swatantra Bhardwaj is openly confessing that during the protest at Jantar Mantar, he had beheaded the father of a protester named Nishu, in this case Section 307 would have been charged against him. But nothing happened to him. While sharing this video, Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal had demanded action.

In the viral video, Swatantra Bhardwaj says, “We tore the head of Nishu's father, do you know which section is involved in this – 307. There were seven stitches on his head, the guy was going in the ambulance.” In a podcast, he further says – “We did not even go to jail, the whole world should know that we did not even go to jail, we were roaming around all night.” Not only this, in this video he has also claimed to know Kapil Mishra and Chirag Paswan.
