Patna: The state government has announced several historic initiatives towards modernizing and streamlining the education system in Bihar. Addressing a state level teacher felicitation ceremony held at Shri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary presented a blueprint for revolutionary changes in the examination systems and schemes related to teachers' welfare. Many senior ministers including Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari were present on this occasion. The Chief Minister clarified that now the target has been set to release the result of matriculation examination in the state within seven days of the completion of the examination, so that the students can save precious time and they can start their further studies on time.
Separate university for 7 lakh teachers
For the efficiency of more than seven lakh teachers of the state, the government is going to establish a dedicated university, which will only handle the training of teachers. The transfer policy has been made very simple, giving great relief to teachers.
Under the new policy, female teachers will be given posting in the adjacent panchayat as per their wish, while male teachers will also be able to take transfer to the panchayat or block nearest to their present place.
engineering result in 24 hours
To eliminate delay in technical education, the government has laid the foundation of a unique system. The Chief Minister announced that the results of engineering and polytechnic examinations will be released within just 24 hours. Apart from this, if any student is not satisfied with his marks or his marks are less, he will get the opportunity to get the new result immediately by appearing in the exam within 15 days.
To make the examination system completely transparent and modern, a special committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of a sitting judge of Patna High Court. Along with this, Bihar School Examination Committee has been instructed to work expeditiously towards releasing center wise results by decentralizing the evaluation of copies.
ban on education migration
To stop the migration of youth from Bihar to other states for higher education, permission has been given to open four new private universities. At the function, the Chief Minister assured the teachers of Madrassa and Sanskrit schools that their pending salaries would be released in the month of September itself. At the same time, a new respectable salary scale will be decided for teachers without funds by combining internal sources and government grants. The recruitment process of more than 33 thousand new teachers is going on through BPSC and to strengthen the entire system, the help of modern technologies like Google, Microsoft and Artificial Intelligence will be taken.
