Lucknow, Read. Meerut Mavericks won the title of the fourth season of UP T-20 League. In the final match played at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday, Meerut defeated Lucknow Falcons by 94 runs. Batting first, Meerut scored a strong score of 203 runs in 20 overs. Lucknow team, which came to chase the target, was all out after scoring just 109 runs on the last ball of the 16th over.
Divyansh Joshi's stormy century in 37 balls
After winning the toss, Meerut Mavericks decided to bat first. The team's opening batsman Divyansh Joshi attacked the Lucknow bowlers from the very beginning. He scored the fastest century in the history of UP T-20 League by scoring a century in just 37 balls. Divyansh Joshi was out after scoring 105 runs in 40 balls. His stormy innings included 12 fours and seven sixes. His explosive batting played an important role in helping Meerut reach the huge score of 203 runs in 20 overs.
Rinku Singh's record broken
Divyansh Joshi also left behind the record of Meerut Mavericks captain Rinku Singh with his stormy century. Earlier, Rinku Singh had scored a century in 45 balls in the UP T-20 League. Now Divyansh has set a new record of the league by scoring a century in 37 balls.
Lucknow Falcons collapsed for 109 runs
Lucknow Falcons, who set out to chase the target of 204 runs, did not have a good start. Lucknow's batsmen could not stand against the Meerut bowlers and the entire team was all out after scoring 109 runs on the last ball of the 16th over. In this way, Meerut won the final match by 94 runs and won the trophy for the fourth season.
