Chhattisgarh News: Uniform Civil Code in Chhattisgarh i.e. Uniform Civil Code (UCC) The preparations of the state government seem to be intensifying. The high level committee formed to prepare the draft of UCC is now going to start dialogue with the people at the social and administrative level. In this sequence, public dialogue will start from Durg division.

Preparation to take opinion of every section
In this dialogue process being prepared by the state government, emphasis has been laid on including different sections of the society. Representatives of political parties, social and religious organizations, academicians and various institutions have been invited to the meetings.
Apart from this, Padma Shri awardees, representatives of corporations, boards and commissions and eminent citizens will also be included in the discussion.
What is the purpose of public communication?
The objective of the committee drafting the UCC is to prepare a draft that takes into account social needs along with legal aspects. For this, the process of taking suggestions from different sections is considered important.
The government is trying to understand the possible impacts of the proposed law and conduct extensive discussions. These meetings being held in Durg division are the initial part of this process.
