Vanessa accompanied Woods to the Martin County Courthouse in Florida on Sept. 2, facing a crowd of reporters and photographers while maintaining a stoic expression.
Woods was initially charged with driving under the influence following an accident in March. However, under a plea deal with prosecutors, he pleaded no contest to the lesser charge of reckless driving, which resulted in a five-year suspension of his driver’s license, AP reported.
Despite appearing in court to support her boyfriend, Vanessa reportedly issued an ultimatum, demanding that Woods seriously address his ongoing personal issues if he wants to maintain their relationship.
According to Daily MailVanessa does not want to remain with a partner who forces her into a caregiver role, especially when she is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. An inside source stated that she “wanted him to get it together, which included putting this all behind him.”
Vanessa, 48, was reportedly frustrated that Woods could not be by her side as much as she had wanted during her treatment. While she was battling cancer, Woods traveled to Switzerland for rehabilitation.
Regarding the five-year driver’s license suspension resulting from his plea deal with prosecutors, the source stated that this is not a major issue for Woods. The 50-year-old golfer can easily hire a private driver.
Vanessa has five children aged between 11 and 18 with her ex-husband, Donald Trump Jr. She began dating Woods in late 2024.
Woods is a golf legend with 15 major titles. However, his career has been hampered over the years by numerous back and knee surgeries, car accidents, ongoing struggles with prescription painkiller dependency and infidelity scandals.

The accident in March marked Woods’s fourth serious traffic incident. In 2009, he crashed his vehicle into a fire hydrant after his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, discovered his extramarital affairs. In 2017, police found him asleep at the wheel by the roadside due to a reaction to painkillers. In 2021, he was involved in a car crash in California that resulted in a broken right leg and required multiple surgeries.
In 2009, another accident sparked a massive scandal, as Woods admitted to multiple affairs and divorced Nordegren in 2010.
According to The MirrorWoods wants to take responsibility for his actions and avoid continuing to be an embarrassment for his family. Accepting the plea deal and entering a no-contest plea is seen as a positive sign that the golfer has begun to face the consequences of his reckless behavior.
He reportedly does not want to continue stressing or hurting Vanessa, and aims to make amends, especially when she is going through cancer treatment.
Sources noted that following his recovery, Woods is eager to return to playing and put the scandals behind.
