A grand program was organized in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, to mark the completion of 250 years of America's independence. US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore attended the event along with state Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
Addressing the event in Bengaluru, US Ambassador Sergio Gore said, “250 years is worth celebrating, but President Donald Trump has not sent me to India to look back. He has sent me here to complete the work and look forward. Our focus is on getting real results for real people in America and India and benefiting both countries,” Gore said.
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore said Bengaluru is the best place to talk about this because it is a manufacturing city. This gets the job done. It doesn't even wait and the administration here is also like this. Gore further said that this is the spirit that President Donald Trump had brought to US-India relations.
Addressing the program, Gore said that as an ambassador, I have tried to bring this same spirit every day. Every week we try to find examples of win-win situations for both countries. “First of all, tonight I am proud to help launch the TRUST Fellowship,” he said. The US Ambassador explained that this is a new partnership that brings together top American and Indian researchers to work on the technologies that will define this century – AI, semiconductor, quantum and biotech.
Sergio Gore met Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. Gore said that India-US relations are progressing rapidly in Karnataka. He mentioned space technology, AI and business. He said that new opportunities are being created for American and Indian industries through initiatives like Pax Silica and TRUST.
