These unsung heroes emerged from UP T20 League 2026, will they enter IPL?

Uttar Pradesh T20 League 2026 has concluded. Meerut Mavericks, captained by Rinku Singh, won the title by defeating Bhuvneshwar Kumar's Lucknow Falcons by 94 runs in the final match played on Sunday (September 6). Meerut Mavericks' young opener Divyansh Joshi played a brilliant century.

 

Divyansh scored 105 runs in just 40 balls, which included 12 fours and 7 sixes. Due to his innings, Meerut Mavericks scored a big score of 203 runs. After this, Vishal Chaudhary (4 wickets) and Zeeshan Ansari (2 wickets) bowled lethally and gave a huge victory to Meerut Mavericks by bundling out Lucknow Falcons at 109 innings.

IPL stars shine

Swastik Chikara finished second in terms of scoring the most runs in this season of the UP T20 League. This opener of Meerut Mavericks scored 326 runs at a strike rate of 163.82. His strike rate (163.82) was the highest among batsmen who scored 300 plus runs. Chikara has been a part of RCB in IPL. However, he did not find any buyer in the auction last year. Due to his performance this time, he can once again get an IPL contract.

 

Kashi Rudras captain Karan Sharma (361), who won the Orange Cap, will also be keeping an eye on IPL franchises. He also scored a century in the tournament. In bowling, Zeeshan Ansari (25 wickets) and Abhinandan Singh (24 wickets) wreaked havoc. Both of them have IPL contracts and can be retained in their teams on the basis of their performance. Some unknown faces have also shone in the UP T20 League, who can enter the IPL.

Yash Garg

Young leg spinner Yash Garg of Meerut Mavericks took 13 wickets in 11 innings. He provided full support to Zeeshan Ansari from the other end and played an important role in making Meerut Mavericks the champion. Yash also performed brilliantly with the bat and scored 119 runs while remaining not out 4 times in 8 innings.

Karthik Sidhu

Noida Kings bowler Karthik Sidhu took 13 wickets in 9 innings. His economy was only 7.14, which is very impressive in T20 cricket. Karthik also contributed with the bat in the lower order and scored 97 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 111.49.

Vijay Yadav

Kashi Rudras bowler Vijay Yadav also attracted people's attention with his economical bowling. He took 13 wickets in 11 innings. His economy was 7.80. Vijay's best performance was 4/23. He made headlines by bowling with both hands.
