450 master trainers will be trained to increase the safety, confidence and leadership abilities of daughters in Uttar Pradesh. A special training program will be organized in 9 batches at SIET Prayagraj from 9 to 24 September 2026.
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government is going to expand the 'Meena Manch' run in schools. Under the Special Project for Equity, 450 master trainers will be given training related to safety, self-confidence and leadership skills in Prayagraj from 9 to 24 September 2026. After the training, these master trainers will train teachers and girl students in the schools of their respective districts.
450 master trainers will get training in 9 batches
The training to be held at State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET), Prayagraj, will be conducted in 9 different batches. Each batch will consist of 50 participants. In this, training will be given to selected representatives from all 75 districts of the state.
The first two batches will be held on September 9 and 10. After this, there will be training for third and fourth batches on 11-12 September, fifth and sixth batches on 16-17 September and seventh and eighth batches on 21-22 September. The ninth batch will be held on September 23-24.
This program is being organized as 'Training of Trainers' (ToT) and 'Master Trainer' (MT) workshop under the Special Project for Equity. Its objective is to make the activities of Meena Manch more effective at the school level.
Focus will be on daughters' safety and leadership
Special training will be given on topics related to the safety of girls and their rights in the workshop organized under the guidelines of Director General School Education Monica Rani. It will also include information on effective implementation of legal provisions related to sexual harassment and child protection.
Along with this, emphasis will be laid on developing decision making ability, self-confidence and communication skills among the girl students. Master trainers will be given information about such techniques through which girl students in schools can be encouraged to express their views fearlessly.
After training, implementation will take place in the districts
After completing the training in Prayagraj, 450 master trainers will go to the schools of their respective districts and enhance the capacity of teachers and girl students. Through this, efforts will be made to strengthen 'Meena Manch' as an effective system for the protection and empowerment of girls instead of just a school activity.
The aim of the government is to create such an environment in schools where girl students feel safe and can express their views with confidence. Along with this, leadership and decision making abilities should develop in them. The expansion of Meena Manch is being seen as an important step in this direction.
