Quetta. Concern increased in the Mastung district of Pakistan’s Balochistan province after six unidentified bodies were found from two different places on Monday.
Human rights organization Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ) has expressed apprehension that some of these may also be Baloch youth who were earlier allegedly forcibly disappeared.
According to the organization, the bodies reportedly showed signs of torture. BVJ claims that the bodies were removed after some time under the supervision of police officer Abdul Rauf Baloch and taken to the hospital. Later it has also been said that they will be taken to Quetta and then dropped back at the same place.
Meanwhile, according to local media, at least three people, including a child, were injured in drone action by Pakistani forces in Khadkocha area of Mastung. The injured were rushed to the hospital after the attack in Garo area on Sunday.
Human rights organizations have alleged forced disappearances and custodial torture of civilians in Balochistan.
It called on the United Nations and international human rights organizations to immediately and transparently investigate the six bodies, identify the dead and find out whether they were among those previously reported missing.
