Bihar will be full of water! Heavy rain alert in 19 districts, danger of storm and lightning also

Patna. Monsoon seems to be active once again in Bihar. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert in 19 districts of the state today. Especially in many areas of North Bihar, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and strong wind. People have been advised to remain alert during bad weather.

Chances of rain in these districts

Strong winds along with rain may occur in West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan and Saran of Bihar. There is also a possibility of rain in Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Vaishali, Darbhanga, Madhubani and Samastipur. Whereas there may be rain at some places in Supaul, Saharsa, Madhepura, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia and Katihar. However, there is no possibility of rain throughout the day in all areas.

Danger of storm and lightning

There is a possibility of wind speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in North-West Bihar. There may also be thunderstorms along with lightning at many places. In such weather, people have been advised to avoid going in open fields and under trees.

Less rain in South Bihar

At present, rain activity is likely to be relatively less in many parts of South Bihar. In districts like Gaya, Aurangabad, Arwal, Jehanabad, Rohtas, Kaimur, Buxar and Bhojpur, the weather may remain less active as compared to North Bihar. However, light rain at local level has not been ruled out.

Monsoon effect will continue till September 12

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon may remain active in Bihar between September 8 and 12. During this period, light to moderate rain is likely to continue in the northern and north-eastern parts. Due to rain, there may be relief from drop in temperature and humidity in many districts.
