Literary achievements of Manoj Dhiman
Ludhiana: Journalist and author Manoj Dhiman has added two new Hindi fiction books to his literary journey. His new works 'Raj Ki Baat', a short story collection, and 'Mahamanav', a novel, now bring the number of books published in Hindi to ten.
Head of Hindi Department of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Prof. (Dr.) Sunil has written the introduction to both these books.
'Raj Ki Baat' includes short stories based on politics, corruption, human relations and contemporary social issues. On the other hand, 'Mahamanav' is a technology based novel, which focuses on the concept of humanoid. This is Dhiman's second work based on the changing relationship between human life and technology. Earlier, his novel 'Avatars from the Virtual World Return to Earth' was published in 2025.
Both the books are published by New World Publications, New Delhi. Dhiman inherited these books from his late father H.R. Dhiman, who played an important role in developing his interest in writing.
Talking about the new books, Manoj Dhiman said, “Writing is a continuous journey of observation, contemplation and discovery for me. I strive to understand contemporary society and human relationships through my stories. My novels give me an opportunity to explore the changing relationship between man and technology. I am happy that 'Raj Ki Baat' and 'Mahamanav' have given me two different dimensions of my creative journey.”
Dhiman's literary journey started with the short story collection 'Late Night Party' published in 2007. The book was released by former CBI director late Joginder Singh in Ludhiana. His other published works include the poetry collection 'Rain Drops', the novel 'Shunya Ki Oor', and the short story collection 'Yeh Makaan Bikau Hai'.
Guru Nanak Dev University had admitted Manoj Dhiman in the Board of Studies (PG) in Hindi subject from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2026. In 2026, an analytical study was also conducted on his short story collection 'Jaagte Raho'.
