Tamil Nadu Assembly Uproar: There was a huge uproar in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Tuesday over the allegations made by CM C. Joseph Vijay against DMK chief MK Stalin. During this, DMK MLAs raised slogans demanding that CM Vijay's statement based on ED documents be removed from the records. After this, the MLAs of the main opposition party were called marshals and were forcibly thrown out of the House.

As soon as the assembly proceedings began, DMK whip EV Velu on Monday raised objection to CM Vijay's statement. He demanded that the comments made by the CM on matters like ED corruption allegations be expunged from the records of the House as it was against the rules. Velu also objected to references to the Sarkaria Commission and said that no crime had been committed. On this, Law Minister R. Nirmal Kumar defended the CM's statement on the basis of the Sarkaria Commission report and official documents of the ED and reiterated the allegations of corruption against the then DMK government.
DMK members met Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Reached very close to Prabhakar's seat and started raising slogans. After which the Assembly Speaker called the marshal and got the DMK MLAs out of the House. Let us tell you that Vijay on Monday, while targeting the previous DMK government, cited an ED document and alleged that 7.5 to 10 percent of the total contract amount was collected from the contractors as “party fund”.
