The video showing the Kia Sorento 7-seater SUV’s most value-for-money variant has been shared on YouTube by Fuel Injected on their channel. It starts off with the host mentioning that in this particular video, he will be showing the Kia Sorento’s HTK(A) variant. This particular variant sits in the middle of the lineup and comes equipped with ADAS. Following this, he mentions the pricing of the Sorento, which starts at Rs 27.99 and goes up to Rs 40.39 lakh.
As for the pricing of the HTK(A) variant, it has been priced at Rs 33.49 lakh. However, if someone wants to buy the HTK variant without the ADAS Level 2+, they will have to pay Rs 32.49 lakh. All of these prices are ex-showroom prices. Overall, the HTK variants sit in the middle of the base HTE and top-of-the-line HTX variants, and with all the features they have to offer, it makes the HTK variants the most value-for-money variants.
Following the introduction and pricing, the vlogger then starts showing the exterior design and highlights of the Sorento HTK(A). He starts at the front of the vehicle and mentions that the overall design looks familiar to the Carnival. However, it still looks slightly unique and overall, it is very premium. At the front, it gets a gun metal finish on the front grille’s honeycomb elements, and the grille is surrounded by brushed silver garnish.
It also gets a 360-degree camera in the centre, and it comes offered with 6 front parking sensors. Additionally, the SUV also gets LED fog lights and a silver skid plate and a brushed silver garnish on the lower part, which gives it a premium appearance. Other notable highlights include air vents on either side and a set of LED headlights with four ice cube LEDs. The lower variant gets three pod lights. It also gets an L-shaped LED DRL which extends into the grille.
After showing the front end of the vehicle, the vlogger then opens the bonnet and shows the engine. He mentions that the Sorento comes offered with hydraulic struts to ease the opening of the bonnet. Next up, he highlights that this particular variant is equipped with the 2.2-litre diesel engine, which makes 193 bhp and 442 Nm of torque.
Apart from this, the same variant also comes offered with the 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid engine. This hybrid setup makes 180 bhp and 265 Nm of torque. Both engines get the 8-speed DCT gearbox option. There is no manual gearbox on offer. Additionally, the SUV also gets an AWD system in the higher HTX variants.
Continuing with the exterior walkaround, the presenter then moves to the side profile of this SUV. He highlights that from the video, it might not seem like the vehicle is big. However, in reality, it has a substantial road presence. After this, he shows the alloy wheels offered on the HTK(A) variant, which are 19-inch. The lower trim gets 18-inch wheels. It also gets brushed silver elements on the door handles and silver garnish on the lower part of the door.
He also mentions that the vehicle gets integrated roof rails as well. Next up, the vlogger shows the rear end of the vehicle and mentions that it looks very European. He highlights that it gets LED taillights with an L-shaped signature. Also, the vehicle comes offered with an electric tailgate, hidden rear wiper and washer setup, integrated roof spoiler, shark fin antenna and a silver skid plate.
After showing the exterior design, the presenter shows the interior of the Sorento. He opens the boot and shows the space with all three rows up. He then shows the electric tumble button for second-row seats, AC controls for the third row and 12-speaker BOSE premium audio system. He then moves to the second row, which gets adjustable seats, in-built sun shades on the doors and Type-C fast charging ports on the front seats.
Moving ahead, he mentions that the second-row seats’ comfort is very high. But the rear seats are hard to access for adults and will only be comfortable for kids on longer journeys. Next up, he shows the dashboard of this vehicle. It gets dual 12.3-inch screens, the one in the middle is the touchscreen infotainment system, and there is also a digital instrument gauge cluster as well.
Notable highlights of this variant include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats on the front, dual-zone automatic climate control, driving modes including Eco, Normal, Sport and Smart. Additionally, the vehicle also gets soft-touch material on the dashboard, 64 ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, Level 2+ ADAS and many other features. Overall, he mentions that the HTK(A) offers the most bang for the buck.
