Zaid Ali T questions Rajab Butt’s fame and dignity

Pakistani YouTubers Zaid Ali T and Rajab Butt are two prominent names in the country’s digital entertainment space. Both content creators have built massive audiences on social media, although their journeys and content styles have been quite different.

Zaid Ali T entered the YouTube scene around 2012–2013 and is regarded as one of the early Pakistani creators who helped popularize YouTube content in the country. Over the years, he established a strong identity through his comedy videos and relatable content. He currently has more than 3.4 million subscribers on YouTube and around 3.2 million followers on Instagram.

Rajab Butt, on the other hand, started his YouTube journey several years later but experienced a rapid rise in popularity. His vlogs and personal-life content have attracted millions of viewers, helping him reach around 9 million YouTube subscribers and approximately 3 million Instagram followers. Despite the difference in their careers, both creators remain highly influential among Pakistani social media audiences.

Recently, Zaid Ali T and Rajab Butt have been appearing together on TikTok Live, where they interact with each other, take part in different tasks and exchange light-hearted comments. However, during a recent joint livestream, the conversation appeared to take a more serious turn when Zaid Ali T openly questioned Rajab Butt’s fame and the respect he has earned from the public.

While addressing Rajab during the livestream, Zaid Ali T highlighted the difference between having a large following and earning respect. He told Rajab that although he may have more subscribers, numbers alone do not determine a person’s worth or success.

Zaid Ali T reportedly said that respect is more important than subscribers and suggested that Rajab had focused heavily on increasing his numbers. He congratulated him for achieving a massive following but advised him to focus on earning genuine respect if he wanted to accomplish something meaningful in life.

He also spoke about his own career, explaining that he became known primarily for his comedy content rather than the type of vlogging associated with Rajab Butt. Zaid Ali T made it clear that he did not consider that particular kind of fame something he personally wanted.

During the conversation, Zaid Ali T further claimed that the reactions of their respective audiences toward their collaborations were very different. According to him, Rajab’s viewers would not necessarily object to him going live with Zaid, while many people in Zaid’s own livestream audience allegedly discourage him from appearing with Rajab.

Throughout the exchange, Rajab Butt appeared to listen quietly while smiling. He did not engage in an aggressive response to Zaid’s criticism, allowing the latter to continue expressing his views.

The conversation quickly attracted attention on social media, with viewers taking different sides. Many users praised Zaid Ali T for openly discussing the difference between popularity and respect. Some viewers agreed with his argument and felt that having millions of followers does not automatically translate into dignity or public respect.

Rajab Butt’s supporters, however, came to his defense. His fans argued that Rajab has worked hard to build his audience and that his success should not be dismissed simply because his content style is different from Zaid Ali T’s. Some also accused Zaid of using the discussion to gain additional attention.

At the same time, another section of viewers pointed out that the heated exchange may have been connected to a TikTok Live task rather than a genuine personal dispute. Since both creators have recently been participating in livestream challenges and tasks, some viewers believe the conversation should not necessarily be taken as a serious feud.

For now, neither creator has indicated that the exchange has caused a lasting conflict between them. The livestream has nevertheless sparked a wider discussion among fans about online fame, subscriber counts, dignity and the importance of maintaining respect while building a career on social media.
