China's Xpeng Launches World's First Automated Production Line

In China's leading technology company Xpeng, advanced humanoid robots named 'IRON' are being created from robots. In the company's new automated assembly line, more than 80 percent of the work is done without human intervention. This robot, which has state-of-the-art Turing AI chips and 76 movement points, can perform difficult tasks on its own. The company aims to launch these robots worldwide by 2027.

China's leading electric vehicle and technology company 'Xpeng' has officially announced a state-of-the-art and fully automated production line, where robots are now building other advanced robots. The humanoid robots named 'IRON' made in this factory are coming straight from the assembly line without any human intervention.

More than 80 percent of the process is completely automated

The biggest feature of this technology is that more than 80 percent of the main manufacturing and assembly work in this factory is being completed without human hands, i.e. with other robotic arms and machines. The precision used in automobile manufacturing is now being used to create humanoid robots. These robots start balancing themselves as soon as they leave the factory, which is considered a big wonder in the world of technology.

Chairman and CEO of Xpeng Company, Xiaopeng He shared the video on 'X' (Twitter). In it he said, 'Today, we have launched the world's first automated production line for advanced, general-purpose humanoid robots, where robots are mass-producing other robots in a completely autonomous manner.'

Use of 'Turing AI' chip faster than human brain

Talking about the internal structure of the 'IRON' humanoid robot, it has been given 76 'degrees of freedom' (movement points), out of which 21 movement points are in only one of its hands. Because of this, this robot can easily perform very delicate and difficult tasks like human hands. The company has used three self-made 'Turing AI' chips to operate this robot. These chips provide a very high processing capacity of 2,250 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second), due to which the robot can take its own decisions.

Launch worldwide by 2027

According to the official source of Xpeng company, large-scale commercial production of these robots will be started by the end of this year. Initially, these robots will be used for complex tasks in Apple or other large retail stores and at various factory campuses. After that, the company plans to launch these advanced robots in the global market for the common people by 2027.
