This sad incident took place in Karakachar village under Kartala police station area. The deceased woman has been identified as Mangalo Bai. According to the information, Mangalo Bai was watching a video on her mobile when suddenly the network went out. The woman was very upset and angry due to the internet being shut down. In a fit of rage, he first threw away his phone and then barricaded himself in a room.

As the health worsened, the family rushed to the hospital

After some time the woman started vomiting continuously. The strong stench of disinfectant during the vomiting led the family to suspect that something unpleasant had happened. The family immediately took him to the Kartala Health Center, but the doctors referred him to the Korba District Hospital as his condition was critical. While the treatment was going on in the district hospital, the woman passed away. As soon as the incident was reported, the police registered a case and conducted further investigation.

Mobile habit and physical illness also cause mental stress

Korba CSP Prateek Chaturvedi said that the preliminary inquiry revealed that the woman had a heavy habit of using mobile phones. He took this extreme step when the network was gone. On the other hand, the family told the police that Mangalo Bai was also suffering from swelling in hands and feet for some time. She was also under mental stress as she did not get relief despite long treatment. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation keeping all aspects in mind.

According to psychologists, spending too much time on smartphones and feeling extreme anger or anxiety when the internet suddenly shuts down is a serious symptom.
