In order to give a broad platform to the rich tribal culture, folk traditions and cultural heritage of the district, preparations have started to give a grand and attractive look to the Karma Mahotsav this year. In the same sequence, a detailed review of the preparations and proposed programs of the Mahotsav was held today in the Circuit House Auditorium under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Social Welfare Sanjeev Gaur of the State Government.
In the meeting, special emphasis was laid on establishing the event as the cultural identity of the district and ensuring participation of maximum people. Addressing the meeting, Minister of State for Social Welfare Sanjeev Gaur said that Karma Mahotsav should be organized in a grand, dignified and emotional manner in the district. He said that the tribal culture of Sonbhadra has its own unique identity.
Through Karma Mahotsav, there will be an opportunity to display the folk traditions, art, culture and heritage of this place on a large scale. He directed the officials that all preparations related to the festival should be completed in a timely manner with better coordination. He said that Karma Mahotsav will be inaugurated in Kota village of Chopan block with the cooperation and participation of the administration and workers associated with Karma Mahotsav. Along with giving importance to the traditions and cultural form of the tribal society in the event, special attention will be paid to making the program more effective and attractive.
On this occasion, District Magistrate Charchal Gaur said that a detailed outline should be prepared to give a comprehensive and effective form to the Karma Mahotsav in the district. He said that the festival should be given wide recognition by presenting the rich cultural and tribal heritage of Sonbhadra at a high level. For this, along with conducting all the activities related to the event in a systematic manner, an effective action plan for wide publicity should be prepared, so that the unique folk and tribal culture of the district can reach as many people as possible. The District Magistrate directed the concerned officials that there should be no shortage of any kind in the preparations for the festival and all the arrangements should be completed on time with mutual coordination.
Scheduled Tribe Commission Vice Chairman Jeet Singh Kharwar, Chief Development Officer Jagriti Awasthi, Regional Vice President Ramsundar Nishad, District Social Welfare Officer Gyanendra Singh Bhadauria, District Panchayat Raj Officer Namita Sharan, Additional District Information Officer Vinay Kumar Singh and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
