Delhi: Guyana Amazon Warriors returned to the winning track by defeating St. Lucia Kings by 4 wickets on Wednesday. The bowlers performed amazingly in this match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 played in Guyana. Captain Imran Tahir broke the back of St. Lucia Kings' batting by taking five wickets. With this victory, Guyana Amazon Warriors also strengthened their position in the points table.

St Lucia's bright start

St. Lucia Kings, who came to bat first, had a good start, where after the early dismissal of Tim Seifert, Kamil Puran continued to score runs in an aggressive manner. He hit 5 fours and 2 sixes in the powerplay. Together with John Campbell, he took the team's score to 51 runs in six overs.

After this, the course of the match changed completely, when Guyana's bowlers put St. Lucia in trouble by continuously taking wickets. Mehdi Hasan Miraz dismissed John Campbell soon after the end of the powerplay. After this, Imran Tahir gave a big blow to Kamil Puran and Roston Chase by LBW.
