There were a lot of expectations about the film before its release, but it failed to live up to the expectations at the box office. The film could not even recover its budget. Now Preity Zinta has spoken openly about the performance of the film and her work.
These days Preeti is busy promoting her upcoming film 'Vibe'. Meanwhile, while talking to Mid Day, he reacted to the flop of 'Partition 1947'. Preeti said that she is proud of this film and her experience of working in it was also wonderful.
She said that as an actress she always tries to manage expectations. According to Preeti, when she works in a film, she works hard from her side, but she has no control over how the film will perform after its release.
Preeti said, “When I work, I give my 100 percent. I have said earlier also that I believe in karma. You do your karma and leave the rest to God. You have no control over what happens.”
She further said that she works hard from her side in every film. Preeti told that she tries to give her 1000 percent and after that leaves the results of the film to God.
Collection was far behind the budget
According to reports, the budget of 'Partition 1947' was said to be around Rs 150 crore, while the film collected around Rs 54.20 crore at the worldwide box office. In this way the film was not even successful in recovering its cost at the box office.
Apart from Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Abhimanyu Singh and Ali Fazal were also seen in important roles in the film.
After 'Partition 1947', Preity Zinta's next film is 'Vibe'. This action-comedy film is scheduled to release in theaters on September 18. The film has been directed by Kunal Khemu and he will also be seen in the lead role in it. Many actors including Sparsh Srivastava, Yashpal Sharma and Dinesh Lal Yadav will be seen in the film.
