Patna. To make land related work easier and faster in Bihar, the Revenue Department has decided to increase monitoring at the zonal level. Department Secretary Jai Singh has given clear instructions to the officers that the cases related to Jamabandi, nomination and land records should not be kept pending unnecessarily. This is expected to provide relief to land owners from visiting revenue offices.
Special campaign to correct the mistakes of Jamabandi
People have to face many problems due to wrong information being entered in land records. In view of this, instructions have been given to remove the irregularities present in the gathering by running a campaign at the Mauza level. Officials have been asked to dispose of the cases properly.
More than 5 acres of government land will be investigated
To find out the actual status of government land, physical verification of plots having area more than 5 acres will be done on priority basis. Jamabandi related to government land will also be investigated. Instructions have been given to speed up the process of unlocking the locked deposits falling within the scope of the rules.
The issue of land of dead ryots will also be cleared soon
The department has also shown strictness regarding the pending jamabandi in the name of deceased ryots. In such cases, instructions have been given to proceed with the process of inheritance and partition and mutation. The aim is that families do not have to wait for years to get their land records corrected.
Action on fake documents and wrong applications
Notice will be issued to those who provide wrong information in the filing or filling the wrong questionnaire. At the same time, if fake or forged documents are found, action will be taken as per rules. Instructions have also been given to maintain transparency in land measurement and regularly review complaints.
Checking Records and Documents Online
The applications and documents uploaded on the land records portal will also be monitored. Emphasis has been laid on improving the process of verification of records before land registry. In the Revenue Campaign, instead of just showing the disposal of the applications, it has been asked to provide the correct solution.
