On the other hand, Bangladesh started the tournament with a huge 71-run win against Indonesia. However, they suffered a four-wicket defeat against Sri Lanka in their second match. Bangladesh then made a brilliant comeback by defending just 103 runs against UAE in a thrilling encounter. Bangladesh scored 103 runs in 20 overs, but UAE could manage only 69 runs for 9 wickets. With the win, Bangladesh finished second in Group B and qualified for the semi-finals.
