Festive atmosphere starts in the house with Ganesh Puja. Cleaning the house is also necessary between the installation of Lord Ganesha, preparations for the puja and the arrival of guests. If cleaning work is postponed till the last day, then fatigue may increase due to doing more work in less time.
However, there is no need to clean the entire house at once. If the work is divided into small parts and done according to priority, then the house can be easily cleaned and organized before the festival.
First decide where to start
Before starting cleaning, make a small plan of the entire house. First choose those places where family members spend more time or there will be more movement of guests during the festival.
It would be better to give priority to places like drawing room, worship place, main door and kitchen. Instead of cleaning the entire house at once, set a target of one or two parts daily.

During Ganesh Puja, the kitchen may be used more than on normal days. It is important to organize the kitchen before preparing puja offerings and food for guests.
First of all, remove unnecessary items from the kitchen platform. After this clean the gas stove, sink and surrounding surfaces. Keep those containers and utensils which are not used daily in the right place. Clean the fridge from inside and out as per need.
First clean the place of worship
Before installing Ganesh ji, it is important to clean the place of worship thoroughly. Remove dust and extra stuff from there.
Clean the puja post, surrounding area and things used for decoration in advance. With this, you will not have to spend much time in cleaning work on the day of puja and will be able to easily concentrate on decoration.
Always clean from top to bottom
Adopting the right sequence while cleaning the house can reduce the effort. First of all, clean the dust from fans, lights, high shelves and other high places.
After this clean the table, furniture, window and other surfaces. Lastly, sweep and mop the floor. In this way, the dust falling from above will not dirty the floor again.
Start now to reduce the burden of the last day
Amidst festival preparations, it is not right to postpone cleaning till the last day. If you take out some time every day and clean different parts, then the house will be ready at the time of Ganesh Puja.
