Netflix has officially pulled the plug on Ransom Canyaon.
The Texas romantic drama starring Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly, will not be returning with more seasons as the streamer has decided against renewing it past season 2, as per Deadline.
The news of the cancellation comes just a month and a half after the second season came out on July 23.
Additional cast members included Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, Marianly Tejada, Jack Schumacher and Casey W. Johnson.
In season 1, viewers also saw Eoin Macken, Andrew Liner and James Brolin.
Ransom Canyonwhich was based on Jodi Thomas’ novels, was already facing an uncertain future.
Season 1 brought in decent but hardly spectacular viewership, leaving the series’ future uncertain last year.
More than two months after its Season 1 premiere, Ransom Canyon secured a second season with fewer episodes and a creative revamp that also brought changes to its supporting cast.
April Blair created Ransom Canyon as an adaptation of Jodi Thomas’ book series, with the Netflix drama premiering in April 2025 and remaining in the Top 10 for five weeks despite mixed reviews.
