During the bilateral meeting held ahead of the BRICS Summit at the Bharat Mandapam, Prime Minister Modi presented the Russian translation of 'Thirukkural', the famous work of the great Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar, to President Putin.
Thirukkural is counted among the classic works of Tamil literature. It presents ideas related to life, morality, governance, society, love and human behavior. PM Modi posted on social media platform X that he has given the Russian translation of Thirukkural to Putin. He said that it is a medium to convey the eternal wisdom of the great Thiruvalluvar across languages and borders.
After being presented the book, both the leaders shook hands warmly. This small moment became a symbol of cultural ties and mutual respect between India and Russia.
Modi-Putin seen in a car for the third time
The discussion about the friendship between Prime Minister Modi and President Putin intensified when both the leaders came to see the exhibition in the same car. Both were seen sitting in the car and talking. After this they were also seen walking together.
