Shares of Raymond Ltd delivered a stellar breakout rally, surging nearly 20 percent on Friday to hit a fresh 52-week high of ₹1,024 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in stark contrast to a weak broader market. Opening positively at ₹859.15 compared to its previous close of ₹853.50, the counter witnessed a massive surge in buying interest and trading volume. Sustained momentum helped the stock outperform its sectoral peers by a remarkable 16.47 percent, trading comfortably above all key short-term and long-term moving averages, including the 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages. Even with intraday volatility touching 7.24 percent, the stock extended its winning streak to two consecutive sessions, accumulating a stellar 21.7 percent gain over the period and bringing the company’s market capitalization to ₹6,556.85 crore from its 52-week low of ₹320.40 recorded on March 30, 2026.
Strategic Demerger and Booming Aerospace & Defence Revenue Drive Rally
The phenomenal surge follows a major corporate restructuring that saw Raymond successfully demerge its lifestyle and real estate businesses into independent listed entities. Following the restructuring, Raymond Ltd now operates as a focused engineering powerhouse anchored by two primary verticals: aerospace & defence, and precision technology & auto components. This strategic pivot has already started yielding robust financial results, highlighted by the aerospace & defence business generating ₹123 crore in revenue during the first quarter of fiscal year 2027—a substantial 40.4 percent year-on-year jump from ₹87 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Board Approves Fundraise via Convertible Warrants and Reports Strong Q1 Financials
Adding further momentum to the stock, Raymond’s board of directors recently approved a strategic fundraising initiative through the issuance of 3,328,686 convertible warrants at an issue price of ₹645 per warrant (which includes a premium of ₹635 per warrant). These warrants are convertible into equity shares in one or more tranches within a maximum timeframe of 18 months from the date of allotment. This capital infusion announcement coincided with a robust set of Q1 FY2027 financial results, which showed total revenue expanding 13 percent year-on-year to ₹628 crore, EBITDA growing 14 percent to ₹100 crore, and a healthy improvement in EBITDA margin to 15.9 percent, underscoring strong operational efficiency and robust investor confidence.
