Burj Khalifa Cleaning: There are about 24,348 windows in Burj Khalifa and the total area of their glass is said to be about 1.2 lakh square meters. Cleaning such a large surface is a challenge in itself. For this, the help of special machines and trained employees is taken in different parts. Bucket machines weighing about 1,500 kg run on tracks in some parts of the building. Employees sit in the attached Gondolas and clean the mirrors. The method of cleaning also changes as altitude increases.

Strong wind and heat are the biggest challenges
The biggest danger for those working at such heights is not just falling. Strong wind can also make the work extremely difficult. Weather and wind conditions are observed before starting cleaning and work is stopped in case of strong wind.

Complete cleaning may take several months
Cleaning the exterior of Burj Khalifa is not a one-day job. According to old reports, a team of about 36 employees has been deployed for this work and the entire process may take 3 to 4 months. These employees are given special training in working at height, descending with the help of ropes, use of safety equipment and dealing with emergency situations.
