According to the new time, the afternoon matches in the knockout stage will start at 1:30 pm instead of 2:00 pm local time. According to Indian time, Japan is 3 hours 30 minutes ahead of India. In such a situation, these afternoon matches can now be watched live from 10:00 am Indian time. The biggest reason for this change in the timing of matches is that it gets dark early in the evening in Japan. At the same time, there is no arrangement for floodlights at the tournament venue.
At the same time, men’s T20 matches last longer than women’s matches, so it has been decided to start the game 30 minutes earlier to complete the match before the lights end. The schedule has been updated on the official website, but Indian Olympic Association (IOA) officials say that they have not yet received formal information about this change.
