Indian team's young opening batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi has a golden opportunity to make a world record. If he is included in the playing XI in the 3-match T20 series against Afghanistan, he will become the youngest player of any full member team to play an international cricket match in India. Vaibhav had earlier made the record of being the youngest player to play international cricket for India. He made this record against England in Manchester.
Will Vaibhav get a chance?
15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi was left out of the playing XI on the Ireland tour. Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma did the opening. After this, the same pair started the innings in the opening match of the 5-match T20 series against England. In the second match, Sanju was dropped and Vaibhav was given a chance. However, he could not take advantage of this and could score only 14 runs.

Vaibhav scored 13 runs in the third match of the series, while 15 runs in the fourth match. After this he was dropped from the playing XI. In the last match of the series, Sanju came to open with Abhishek. Sanju scored 27 runs in 14 balls in the chase of 258 runs. After this he was not sent on the Zimbabwe tour. The wicketkeeper batsman was rested, which made room for Vaibhav and he took advantage of it and played 2 explosive half-centuries in the 3-match T20 series. Now it has to be seen whether he gets a chance against Afghanistan or not.

Decision will be difficult for Shreyas-Gambhir
Captain Shreyas Iyer and head coach Gautam Gambhir will decide who will play between Vaibhav and Sanju against Afghanistan. Vaibhav is being considered as the star of the future. Due to his talent, he can make a place in any T20 team of the world. On the other hand, Sanju has made Team India the champion by playing 3 consecutive half-century innings in the T20 World Cup. It would also be redundant to put him on the bench again. In such a situation, it is going to be a very difficult decision for the Shreyas-Gambhir pair as to whom to feed.
