Completing her fifty in 24 balls, she broke the record of her compatriot Smriti Mandhana, who had scored a fifty in 25 balls against Sri Lanka in Sylhet in 2022. Most importantly Smriti Mandhana was playing with her in this match and she has broken this record right in front of her. Richa Ghosh and Shefali Verma are tied for third on the list with two fifties each in 26 balls. Shefali Verma has been excellent in both bowling and batting and has always contributed well to the Indian women's team.
