First step- To make modak, take 1 cup coconut powder. Buy and use coconut powder which is available in the market. Now take the same amount of milk powder as you have taken coconut. Now take sugar in the same measure and add some cardamom seeds to the sugar and grind it finely. Mix all the things well in a bowl.
Second step- Now soak saffron threads in some milk. If you have mawa then you can add some. Here we will prepare a soft dough by just mixing all the ingredients with milk without adding khoya. If you want to make modaks with stuffing, then chop your favorite dry fruits finely. Now take the modak making mold and fill the prepared dough in it. Leave some space in the middle and fill the dry fruits stuffing. Prepare all the modaks by pressing in the same manner.
Third step- If you do not have a mold to make modak, then flatten the prepared mixture and fill it with stuffing and then round it and give it a pointed shape like modak. Now make long designs like Modak with the help of sticks. In this way, even without a mould, the delicious and exactly shaped modak will be prepared. Keep preparing all the modaks in the same manner.
Quickly prepare the modak and offer it to Bappa and later distribute it to people as Prasad. If there is more mixture and you want to make less modaks, then you can also make laddus from it. Wrap some dry coconut on the laddu. Children will like this sweet very much. You can easily prepare it without mawa when guests arrive.
