The ongoing dispute over a house measuring just 22 yards in Sunder Nagri area of East Delhi took a bloody turn. It is alleged that the 71-year-old uncle, along with his 26-year-old son, killed his nephew by stabbing him with a knife. The incident took place outside the house late on Saturday night. The police arrested both the accused within about 10 hours of the murder. The knife used in the crime has also been recovered.
Mohammed Ali had gone down to get water
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ali (28). He lived with his family on the first floor of a 22 yard house in Sunder Nagari and ran a paan shop. His uncle Naseeruddin lived with his family on the ground floor of the house.
According to the deceased's wife Ilma, the family had dinner together at around 11 pm on Saturday night. After this, at around 12:30 in the night, Mohammad Ali went down to get water. It is alleged that Naseeruddin and his son Javed, who were already present in the street, pounced on him.

According to the police, both the accused stabbed Mohammad Ali five times with a knife on his stomach, chest and hand. Hearing the noise, the wife looked in the street and saw that both the accused were attacking her. Even before she could reach down the stairs, the accused fled from the spot. The family took the injured Mohammad Ali to GTB Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The house dispute was going on for a year
The deceased's brother Talib told that there was a dispute going on in the family regarding the house for about a year. They allege that Naseeruddin wanted to take over the house. The property case was also going on in Karkardooma court for the last eight months.
Nand Nagri police station has registered a case of murder and arrested Naseeruddin (71) and Javed (26). North-East District Police Deputy Commissioner Rahul Alwal said that the murder took place over a dispute over possession of the house. The investigation is ongoing whether any other person has a role in the case.
