Lucknow. BJP MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar targeted Samajwadi Party and its national president Akhilesh Yadav on several issues. When Akhilesh Yadav was made the president in place of Shivpal Singh Yadav in Lohia Trust, he called it a big insult to Shivpal. Besides, he also gave his reaction regarding SP’s election strategy, allegations of duplicate voters, Jayant Chaudhary’s statement, administration’s action in a case in UCC and Loni.
On Akhilesh Yadav getting the chairmanship of Lohia Trust, Nand Kishore Gurjar said that Shivpal Singh Yadav had played an important role in the struggle of Mulayam Singh Yadav and the formation of Samajwadi Party. Describing Shivpal as a leader who supported Mulayam Singh Yadav for a long time, he said that the behavior meted out to him is a sign of a major political change within the SP.
Gurjar said that Samajwadi Party is becoming weak under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav. He also suggested Shivpal Singh Yadav to join BJP or form a separate political party. The sentiments of Yadav community and supporters of Mulayam Singh Yadav are attached with Shivpal. Referring to Akhilesh Yadav being the Chairman of Janeshwar Mishra Trust, he said that now the responsibility of Lohia Trust has also come to him. Gurjar raised the question why Akhilesh Yadav is not trusting the leaders of his family.
On SP’s demand for investigation into more than three thousand alleged duplicate voters at 458 polling stations of Etawah assembly constituency, Gurjar said that it is necessary to keep the voter list correct and transparent. He alleged that the duplicate voters that SP is talking about may be related to its own political base.
He claimed that during the Special Intensive Review (SIR), names of a large number of voters in his assembly were removed, whom he described as outsiders or illegally associated voters. He accused the SP of adopting a strategy of raising questions regarding the voter list and electoral machines before the elections.
On SP’s decision to campaign at the assembly level instead of long distance Rath Yatra in the upcoming elections, the BJP MLA said that this is a sign of the weakening position of the party. He claimed that SP will get very few seats in the 2027 assembly elections. In the assembly elections, the public will decide on the basis of development, law and order and governance.
On Jayant Chaudhary’s statement that if the things that happened behind closed doors during the alliance with SP are made public, there will be no political ground left for Akhilesh Yadav in the state, Gurjar said that Jayant Chaudhary is a serious and educated leader. He alleged that objectionable comments have been made by Akhilesh Yadav and SP leaders against leaders of various social groups and communities. Farmers, laborers and youth will oppose any kind of political comment against Jayant Chaudhary. He also accused the Samajwadi Party of not respecting its old allies in western Uttar Pradesh.
Gurjar praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the action taken by the administration in a case related to Loni and the bulldozer action against the accused. He said he met the Chief Minister with the families affected by the alleged sexual harassment and the families were assured of action from the government. Gurjar said that the administration has taken action. Thanking CM Yogi, he said that strict action is necessary to provide justice to the affected families.
On the allegations made by Asaduddin Owaisi against BJP regarding UCC, Gurjar said that the country will run on the basis of the Constitution and law. He said that the objective of the Uniform Civil Code is to move towards an equal legal system for the citizens. He supported the UCC by citing various decisions taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Gurjar said that steps are being taken in this direction in BJP ruled states and in Uttar Pradesh also, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government has shown its commitment on this subject.
