Delhi Weather: Monsoon has now gradually reached its final stages in Delhi. Even in the first week of September, less than normal rainfall has been recorded in the capital. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, weather conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of southwest monsoon from parts of western Rajasthan around September 19. After this, the possibility of departure of monsoon from Delhi has also increased.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light to very light rain in the capital on 15 and 16 September. At the same time, there may be a situation of withdrawal of monsoon from Delhi around 21st September. After this, the weather in the city is expected to become drier.
No rain recorded in Delhi-NCR
No rain was recorded in Delhi-NCR on Monday. During this period, the maximum temperature of the capital was 35.6 degrees Celsius, which was 1.8 degrees more than normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.4 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will be partly cloudy in Delhi on Tuesday. There is a possibility of very light to light rain in some areas of the capital between morning and afternoon. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 32 to 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature to be between 23 to 25 degrees Celsius. During the day, easterly winds will blow, whose speed can be 10 to 15 kilometers per hour.
Weather may become dry from September 18
The department said that there is little possibility of major change in temperature in the next seven days. Light rain may continue in Delhi till 17th September. After this, the weather is likely to remain relatively dry from September 18.
No major change was recorded in the temperature in the capital during the last 24 hours. The minimum temperature was between 22 to 27 degrees and the maximum temperature was between 33 to 36 degrees Celsius. During this period the wind speed was 15 to 20 kilometers per hour. The wind speed in Palam area had reached 33 kilometers per hour in the afternoon. The maximum humidity level in the capital was recorded at 87 percent and the minimum humidity level was 62 percent.
